Statement of teaching and research interests:
Dr. Jha teaches at the Department of Political Science, ºÚ¹Ï³ÔÁÏÍø. He has taught graduate and undergraduate courses in Government Budgeting and Finance, Politics in Urban Areas, Education Policy, State and Local Government, and Public Policy Analysis. His research focuses on K-16 education policy and urban policy in the U.S. He studies inequity and effectiveness in K-16 public education by investigating the implications of inequity in socioeconomic opportunity structure on student educational outcomes. He has published peer-reviewed articles in Social Science Research, Research in Higher Education, The Urban Review, American Educational Research Journal, Journal of Population Research, Journal of Applied Educational and Policy Research and three peer-reviewed books with Sage India, Lexington Books, and University of North Georgia Press. His research has received about 150 citations by year 2025. Dr. Jha has received funding for his research and conference presentation.
